Day Three, Part 1

Aug 19, 2008 07:06

So, Day Three was the walking day for me. I walked, walked, and walked some more. And then I met Jouri and we went to Brighton and that was awesomeness I can't even describe. Anyway, I started off my morning by rolling out of bed, climbing down the many stair levels, and taking a very early train to Westminster, b/c, well, Big Ben never really gets old. I then walked around the Houses of Parliment, through Victoria Park (or something like that), over a bridge, then walked a good mile or two on the other side of the Thames to Shakespeare's Globe, arriving just in time for the first tour of the day. I don't care how many times I go to London, the Globe will always be one of my required stops. Now, on to the pictures:

The National Theatre:

The Eye, the Riverbanks etc

The Globe:
You wish your water fountain looked like this:

The Globe, the stage was already set for the play they were doing that afternoon, which apparently invovled bungee stunts in the like. We also got to hear the musicians practice, which was great and I wish I hadn't erased my video of.

Tate Modern:

Rest of the pics of the day, and pics from Brighton in the next post. Now, off to work.
