Mal's expression was set, his lips pulled into a grim line, as he stepped once again into Riverfell. Looking back, he waited for the rest of his contingent to arrive, having stepped through the portal first. Hard eyes surveyed the landscape with little remark; it looked roughly the same as it had the last time he'd been here. Funny how these little jaunts kept cropping up.
Cameron stepped through the portal, stepping into position behind Mal and to his left. It seemed logical to form a barricade around Jaime, to be able to protect her from all sides, and while they would inevitably break formation, at least they could start out this way.
Dark eyes flashed blue as she studied the landscape, scanning it for signs of life.
Jaime was shaking a little as she stepped through the portal, clutching the list Ice had given her as well as her task-weapon. The damn things looked like squirt guns

Faith... hadn't really been paying attention. Well she had... at first. But she'd gotten there kind of early and as such... well. Short attention span. There'd been nothing to fight for a good 10 minutes, and she'd gotten bored. And really, it felt like she had just looked over at the portal and then looked back 30 seconds later and there were a whole crowd of people around it.
"Shit," she muttered, fumbling for her gun, taking aim and firing without aiming beyond 'toward that group of people'. She wondered how close range the weapons were, and realized belatedly that she wasn't that far off from the group, and even if she missed hitting someone because of distance or bad aim, they were bound to spot here
( ... )
Cameron caught the movement, moving far too fast so as to block Faith's shot, her own gun already out and aimed, shooting as she moved. Once, twice, thrice. She was hit with Faith's shot, though, and faded out shortly after blocking the shock.
Mal jumped a bit, cursing heavily. They hadn't been here more than five minutes and they were already under siege.
"Hurry bao bei," he encouraged, "Don't know how long we c'n keep you here."
Though he supposed if she got tagged out, it wouldn't be the end all, be all. After all, he hadn't really wanted her to be out here in the first place.
King nodded to Jaime, jerking his head in that direction before moving to head for the business district. The shops, huh? That was decently vague. But at least he had a decent idea of what he was looking for. His gun was out, and while he felt like he was going to break the damn thing, he knew he wasn't.
Moving cautiously out of habit, he itched for his real gun. But he'd make do; he'd have to.
Dragon was leaning against one of the buildings on lookout duty. Oh, she knew she was supposed to be moving and she would - in a minute. Pulling the cigarette from between her lips, she blew out a slow stream of smoke as she waited. She was sure someone was going to be around eventually.
They'd be searching the place, right? And she could see most of the ways into the business district from where she was.
A grin tugged her lips as she pondered. She probably wouldn't shoot right away ... no. She'd play a little first.
Stowing the ridiculous peashooter, King switched it for his regular gun. Screw tagging them out, if he was going to be confronted, he'd feel ten times better with an actual firearm in his hands. He noted the smoke near the barracks and raised a brow. Trouble brewing? Maybe. Redoubling the grip on his gun, he flattened himself against one of the walls of the building before whipping himself around the corner, gun pointed at whoever or whatever was there.
"Hey," Dragon said as if she were completely unconcerned at having a gun pointed at her. Indeed, she took another drag off her cigarette before stubbing it out on the wall behind her.
Pushing away from the shop she'd been leaning on, she studied the guy in front of her. "Lookin' for something?" she inquired, a grin curving her lips.

"Aloha," he quipped with a cocky grin.
