Day Twenty - Door number three ...

Feb 08, 2009 01:03

Who: Invaders & attackers
Where: All the hell over
When: Noon and beyond
Rating: Q
Invasion: Ah, wait, I know this one ...

Status: Open, ongoing
Summary: The DauphinMarians invade to find the items.

Very shortly before noon, Damion had become aware of the locations of the objects. He wasn't sure if they could be moved or not - it hardly seemed fair if they couldn't - but at the same time, he was in no rush to go find out. It was nearly time for his hunters to go catch some rabbits. If he was lucky, maybe they'd skin them alive.

Chuckling to himself, Damion closed his eyes as he sought out the objects, feeling with his mind to locate them. It wasn't something he could do, normally, but he supposed this was the Powers' way of letting him 'participate' - he'd know when things started to disappear to the other side.

The shields were mixed among like items in an armor store. The orb that would allow DauphinMare to view them was tucked in some weeds at the edge of the lake. The orb that would block them from seeing, should they acquire an orb, was in the shadow of a rock in the mouth of the caves.

The antidote was a small packet tucked beneath the bottom of a drawer in Varin's workshop.

The sword was dangling in plain sight in a display window of the weapons shop. The dagger was tucked beneath the till in that same shop. The Goblets, full of their green and purple liquids respectively, were side by side in a long abandoned shop that had been meant for a potions' master who had turned traitor on Acevona. Damion wondered briefly if the man would have dared pull that trick with him. The vial of poison - not that he dreamed his mother would have dared use it - was behind a false stone in the dungeons, in the farthest-back cell.

Overall, he was content enough with their placement. Now ... to set his guards.

Piteraq and Dragon were assigned to patrol around the business district with their weapons. Faith was encouraged to stay near the portal on the western plain - they wouldn't come in through the castle one. She was also encouraged to shoot Jaime if Ice was foolish enough to send the girl. If he knew his mother, she'd be set on finding the items, and she'd use her best asset, and plan around that. Damion was counting on Jaime's 'guard' being inept at anything but protecting the girl. Once Jaime was incapacitated - 'tagged out' of the game as it were - then he would have no worry at all about them finding the objects.

The two vampires were set to guard the barracks. There were no items anywhere near there, of course, but Damion was hoping that it would draw the DauphinMarian's falsely toward it with the impression they were guarding something.

Damion himself was quite eager to watch the events of the day unfold.

Quite eager.
