WHO: Jade, Peony, and anyone else who drops by the Inn with Dist as a party crasher.
WHAT: Two recent (disgruntled) immigrants start planning the next steps in their investigation as an old "friend" draws near.
WHERE: At a table near the window of the dining hall in the Crimson Dragon Inn.
WHEN: Late morning.
(
Jade had 'picked' the table by the window, that is, he stared the previous occupants into leaving, because, when seated, you could feel a very slight breeze that did wonders to ease the stuffiness of the room. )

He still felt a bit stupid over the events of the morning. He hadn't expected that much of response to his silly scribble- And once the attention had started pouring in, it was hard not to respond to it all. Writing into a diary that wrote back was a good distraction from his troubled thoughts- Though doing so at Jade's expense probably hadn't been the best idea.
"Worse comes to worst, she's appearing at that ball next week."

Jade opened his diary and words appeared on the page as if someone was writing. A grin spread on his features, and his glasses glinted as he pushed them up his nose. "It seems we are having a strategy meeting tonight at the Inn. You're free to attend if you want, Peony."
"Hmm... he also mentioned a ball but I can't see it in my diary... although it looked like a page was ripped out." Jade sighed. "Peony? Is there something you want to tell me?"

The blonde sipped at his wine, letting his chair fall forward so that it was properly against the ground. Peony raised a brow, setting his wine back on the tabletop before folding his arms over his chest.
"Tell you what? You think I ripped a page from your diary?" A frown, and he sat back in his chair with a huff. "I did no such thing, really Jade."

As he approached the foreign building a familiar voice graced his ears. It was muted and faint, but Dist had self-proclaimed extra sensitive hearing, and as he got closer he was most definitely certain. He knew that voice anywhere. It haunted his dreams. He felt bliss and fear and anger all that once.
"I never knew I'd find YOU here, JADE," Dist muttered menacingly under his breath, his lips curling into a sinister grin. "What is it you're doing now? I'll find out." The lanky, silver-haired man crept slowly towards the window.

"I'm not a child Jade, I know you think I need someone to take care of me- But I'm a damn grown man." Peony Closed his eyes for a moment, challenging the vertigo he was feeling by standing properly upright- though leaning against the door-frame. "If I want to get drunk and make a fool of myself, it's my business!" Yeah, because that was a great reputation for an Emperor to have. A drunk who couldn't hold his wine.
"I can tell I embarrassed you, and that it was my fault all that junk got written on the diaries. I know. I KNOW." He could foggily remember it, mainly that Schuldirt guy saying all sorts of weird things. He had gotten so angry while writing, after being confused- and then a hollow sort of loneliness. If he was with Nephry, none of this would of happened. He would be married, and he probably wouldn't be HERE, in this stupid place.

"Everything will be fine. They just said out loud what everyone has been whispering behind our backs for years. I'm not angry anymore. Just get some rest, Luke said he would come to check up on your later, he was worried."

"I'm sick and tired of being alone Jade. I'm sick of people mocking me. Even here, these people don't even know me! I'm never writing in that goddamn thing again.." His throat felt raw, and he fought down the urge to run to the bathroom and choke.

"I'm the one who peeled you off the floor of the armory that one morning... of course I know! Just try to calm yourself and lie down or you will make yourself sick!"

He sat down at the table he had mentioned to Mr. Crawford, and ordered a few bottles. At least Peony wouldn't be here to ramble on about rappigs, making the whole ordeal he had to endure a blessing in disguise.
Having ordered a few bottles he waited... and waited... a glass here, just to keep himself busy, a glass there... and pretty soon he had finished the bottles and fallen asleep on the table, exhausted from the events of the day.
