WHO: Jade, Peony, and anyone else who drops by the Inn with Dist as a party crasher.
WHAT: Two recent (disgruntled) immigrants start planning the next steps in their investigation as an old "friend" draws near.
WHERE: At a table near the window of the dining hall in the Crimson Dragon Inn.
WHEN: Late morning.
(
Jade had 'picked' the table by the window, that is, he stared the previous occupants into leaving, because, when seated, you could feel a very slight breeze that did wonders to ease the stuffiness of the room. )
He still felt a bit stupid over the events of the morning. He hadn't expected that much of response to his silly scribble- And once the attention had started pouring in, it was hard not to respond to it all. Writing into a diary that wrote back was a good distraction from his troubled thoughts- Though doing so at Jade's expense probably hadn't been the best idea.
"Worse comes to worst, she's appearing at that ball next week."

Jade opened his diary and words appeared on the page as if someone was writing. A grin spread on his features, and his glasses glinted as he pushed them up his nose. "It seems we are having a strategy meeting tonight at the Inn. You're free to attend if you want, Peony."
"Hmm... he also mentioned a ball but I can't see it in my diary... although it looked like a page was ripped out." Jade sighed. "Peony? Is there something you want to tell me?"

The blonde sipped at his wine, letting his chair fall forward so that it was properly against the ground. Peony raised a brow, setting his wine back on the tabletop before folding his arms over his chest.
"Tell you what? You think I ripped a page from your diary?" A frown, and he sat back in his chair with a huff. "I did no such thing, really Jade."

As he approached the foreign building a familiar voice graced his ears. It was muted and faint, but Dist had self-proclaimed extra sensitive hearing, and as he got closer he was most definitely certain. He knew that voice anywhere. It haunted his dreams. He felt bliss and fear and anger all that once.
"I never knew I'd find YOU here, JADE," Dist muttered menacingly under his breath, his lips curling into a sinister grin. "What is it you're doing now? I'll find out." The lanky, silver-haired man crept slowly towards the window.

Jade's eyes wandered to the window, but he couldn't see anyone in the street, and he shrugged. "I'm not sure I trust you taste in clothes, Peony, but I have to admit I am surprised at your initiative. You talk about rappigs so much that I sometimes forget you can be quite capable when you wish to be."

Their voices were still muffled from the window and walls that separated Dist from his long-lost friends, and the former God-General felt himself tremble. He couldn't take it anymore! He was a terrible snoop when it came to matters of the heart. Adjusting his round glasses, he peered rather conspicuously through the window, eyes dashing around the blurred premises inside for a familiar face.

"It's staring at you Jade, with.. a hungry look on it's face."

He grimaced, teeth gnashing, his forehead pressing firmly against the window. The pressure on the glass from his head increased with each shaky, shallow breath he took. At such a close range Dist had begun fogging up the glass, forcing him to wipe away the steam repeatedly. "Ooooooooh, whatever they're planning...I'll bet it's gooood..."
At this moment the glass split where it met his forehead. Dist yelped in surprise as the window shattered and he toppled through. A few shards of glass caught him, tearing through his clothes and cutting his pale skin. As he hit the floor he found himself wriggling and crying painfully for help.

He laughed loud enough for the entire Inn to hear him, and had to bend slightly and hold his side with one arm.
"I - Can't - brathe - Look - at - it!"
Supporting himself against the table, he finally caught his breath and straightened slightly. "That was the ugliest display I have ever seen in my ENTIRE life!" He felt sort of bad because Dist was obviously cut, BUT THE MAN WOULDN'T STOP WRIGGLING LIKE AN OVERSIZED SKINNY LARVAE.

The flailing seemed to only make the pain worse, and Dist quickly realised this. His movements eventually slowed as he lay in a heap on the floor of broken glass, begining to fear the idea of moving and more searing pain. "uuuuuughhhh" he whined, choking back a sob. "How did this happennnn..." A gloved finger deftly but slowly moved over a particularly large shard of glass that had embedded itself shallowly just above his knee. He grimaced, a tear spilling down his cheek, and plucked it out, choking back another over-dramatic cry as he laid on the ground of the inn.
Ignoring the small trickle of blood from his forehead that was invading his eyesight, he stared up at his friends with a look of unabashed betrayal. "I don't see any of YOU trying to help ME!" Dist whined with indignance.
