After gaining a few yards into the jungle, Bridget smiled slightly. One hand slid her shoes off and set them neatly under a fallen trunk to protect them from getting damp in case she didn't make it back before the sun rose or it rained. The other held the sword she'd picked up soon after arrival. Then Bridget's eyes narrowed. Did Darkrai think she was a weak human or something? Tch. She really wanted to fight him when they had their powers back, and maybe dissect him to examine that creature's physiology. To nonchalantly wander around a strange jungle on his own without any plans or backup? Almost no powers? And he thought SHE was the stupid one!
The dhampire's footsteps were soft enough that she could barely hear them as she jogged easily through the trees and dodged through patches of new growth. Several smaller animals bolted from in front of her, and then one started keeping pace. So far she didn't sense any hostile auras, but Bridget wasn't planning on that to hold. Now and then she paused to glance at the pages of her journal to orient herself, eyes gleaming like a cat's in the moonlight.
