Don't look into the Darkness

WHEN: Backlogged to before all the Pokemon shenanigans began
Perhaps it was too risky.
The darkness Pokemon hid under the shadows of the huge tree, noticably injured. He knew the jungle was dangerous but not this dangerous, especially with most of his powers unavailable at the moment. The most he could do was conjure small dark orbs at the attackers, just enough to send them away, their tails between their legs.
Unfortunately (or fortunately, for his situation), the magical journal recorded what happened and somebody happened to see it. That somebody being the person he was with on the boat when he arrived. She looked like a human but when he asked she confirmed herself that she was not fully human as he had sensed. She was going to see him, braving the dangers of the jungle.
He let out a weak chuckle. She did have a human side.
