WHAT: *Cue jaws theme* Maka sees her first soul in Rive. Aint pretty, I imagine. D:
WHERE: Pen and Sword.

It was from their last mistake of parting ways while Maka went grocery shopping and Soul stayed home that they learned -- well, they being Maka, and she really thought she should have figured that out before because this place wasn't going to change anything -- that leaving Soul to his own devices was a dreadful idea. She'd had to rush home to promptly carry him around the house, because he was stuck in his weapon form. More useful than being stuck as a human, in battle terms, but still not all that great when you thought about how much effort Maka had to put into just carrying him, now.
So she was stuck pulling him around the market despite the fact that he obviously disliked the chore. It was the same in Death City -- the grocery shopping they did on Monday's after school at Shibusen was not something Soul tended to look forward to, and Maka had learned that pretty well.
But this was better than letting him get stuck as a weapon, again, laying on the bedroom floor.
"Soul! Stop lagging behind. You're just making this take longer than it has to!" She scolded, frowning a little before she turned and made her way into a shop. Pen and Sword. If they had paper, then Maka could get Chrona to occupy themselves with that -- writing poetry, maybe, and then everyone in the journals wouldn't have to see it. Just anything for Chrona to do aside from mope around was better than nothing.
She quieted her voice as she entered the shop, not bothering to wait for Soul to enter before she already began to scan her eyes over the inside of the store.
