WHAT: Turning in for the night after an exhausting, stressful day.
WHERE: Jade and Peony's room at the Crimson Dragon
WHEN: Late at night on their second day in Rivelata
Jade remembered he had promised to bring Peony some soup, so he picked up a simple vegetable broth in the kitchen and made his way up the stairs. The Emperor was a finicky eater, and would probably complain, but with a stomach full of wine, anything more might only make matters worse. When he reached the door he stood there a short while, hoping against hope that Peony was asleep already before balancing the bowl of soup on one hand and turning the knob with the other.
