Bad news bears, but I'm working on it, so pause on that. Did you know that I spend half of my day subtracting two just to keep track of what time it is on Colorado?
Courtney and Anka saved my life today, probably without knowing it. Not that I was going to jump in front of a train or anything but I didn't need to be left to my own devices and despite each of them being an hour and a half away they managed to be there for me in their own ways. They're the best a girl could get.
I love these gorgeous autumn days, but it's soo hot at work =/ If I don't get a real job soon I MIGHT jump in front of a train. Ugh. More another day.
"It was that kind of a crazy afternoon, terrifically cold, and no sun out or anything, and you felt like you were disappearing every time you crossed a road." Catcher in the Rye
"Even being lied to constantly, though hardly like love, was sustained attention." Atonement
"...walking into the setting sun. Always a hopeful act." Atonement
"It's not that there's anything wrong with it, it's just that there is nothing necessarily right about it either." anon
Nick, my boyfriend from 1,000 years ago, texted me and said:
"Hey. I was just thinking about how awesome you are."
"Oh? How awesome am I?"
"Pretty awesome :) I don't know, I just sometimes wish we had not broken up."
And not too long ago David said something similar, more to the effect that he regretted ending things. There is a time and place for everything, but I'm sort of happy to know my ex-lovers actually miss what we had. Haven't I been predicting this for years? Mr. Cali is next, haha, yeah right; that will be the day.
