I never ever want to leave Victoria for anywhere other then another part of the west coast, ever again. so happy  to be home, and travels went well... I love craigslist- for 60$ the ride picked me up at where I was staying, and delivered me to the ferry in Vancouver. made it to Fernwood Victoria. My new bedroom has paint on the walls that is drying, while I go out to buy a space heater, groceries, and look for a bed.

I spent last night at Aprovecho. I slept in a bunk bed in the straw bale common house, and woke to the sound of chickens near the garden. I arrived at OAEC last night and slept more in 10 hours in Janells bed, then I did the last 3 nights at the Natural Building Colloquium.

Tonight is Brians going away party at OAEC.

I am thinking about building codes, project management, work, Janell, and David Eisenbergs work for D-CAT.

It feels good to be back at the creek, the world is sunny hot green and the ocean wonderful for swimming. I have more paid work then I know what to do with- weeding, painting trim, building a gate, cleaning a yard. It is good to be home. my bright yellow sheets, oak trees, wild turkeys in front of the bus this morning, the pink sunrise were all waiting for me to return. James left me a note that started "Dawn, Welcome home!" and it felt sweet to read.
