Why is it that cover art for movies once they are released to dvd tend to be so disappointing compared to their poster art? Case in point: A History of Violence, the
poster and the
dvd cover. I've haven't seen the movie yet, but that doesn't mean I can't love the poster for it. It's so ominious, and I love how the gun blocks out part of Viggo Mortenson's face. The text even makes the poster look slightly patriotic, hah! The dvd art, on the otherhand, looks so terribly cheesy compared to the poster. Besides, haven't I seen similar artwork for some Harrison Ford movie from the early 90s?
