Utsukushii Rinjin Finished!
Hooray! It feels really good to have finished the subtitles. I like to think it's improved my Japanese too. It showed me exactly how much I understood of each episode. There's a big difference between following a conversation and actually getting every word and nuance.
I think at the beginning I worried too much about trying to give an exact translation. When I'd check through the subs I'd have to change a fair bit to make it sound like more natural English.
I loved this series which helped motivate me to keep going. I think I'd have to leave it quite a while though before I could rewatch it. I know it too well at this point :( Maybe that's the downside of subbing. The upside however is people saying thank you :)
