I always find it...unusual...when I read about fanfic in outside sources like, well, The Washington Post. I always find myself chuckling to see terms like "fanon" and "ship" outside the realm of a fandom, like some adult is trying to be relate to a younger generation by using slang that just doesn't sound right coming out of their mouth.

Went to the DC United game last night and am feeling all kinds of team/city/futbol spirit-y today.

This weekend had no large caulking project but I did manage to divert a great deal of unnecessary clothing to Good Will and/or the trash pile depending on their quality. Which always feels refreshing, frankly. A good purging once in awhile.
