Once inside my words

Jul 16, 2010 15:29

Once I let you find me here
deep amidst these poems
you brushed aside letters
crackling and green beneath your fingers
in the circle of an O
you found me curled fetal
and thought that I was all
there was to know about me
but words build bricks
and these bricks have built walls
and now you wander outside
peering in through the p's
and q's wondering how I ever
built a tower so tall
from just a bunch of words.

poetry, musings, poems
