soon the dark night returns
and i ain't talking about bruce wayne, fan-boys and -girls. i'm talking about winter. just when i started really grooving on the long days... poof, solstice, and the return of the night. sure, it's a slow return, but it seems to reallllly be lengthy in its stay. hell, the pond is hardly warm enough to swim in yet!!
so i promise myself to really enjoy the three weeks we have left of spring. take more pictures. walk in the woods more. do yoga outside. and appreciate the turning of the wheel of the year, for one cannot resist the inevitable. it passes whether i attend or not, and is gone for all time.
and speaking of time - informal poll: given that we have no choice about leaving "god's time" and beginning the heathen time-manipulation practice of "saving daylight" (hey, that IS what i was just bitching about....), would you rather our state be on central or eastern time? i say eastern, cuz even though we're CALLED the "midwest", we're STILL east of the mississippi!
