so all summer i've been operating without a license - a teaching license, that is. the cogs of bureaucracy run slowly in the summer, and someone who was supposed to review my application for assessment of prior learning was apparently on vacation. i had submitted the requisite proof that i was conversant with microsoft office, and have only been awaiting the credit for that last class in order to apply for my license.
meantime, i've been recklessly teaching algebra and five-paragraph essays without a single licensed teacher anywhere near me. i think nobody really cares about such things, as long as it's all "in the process" of being bona fide. but nevertheless, i am pleased to report that soon i can safely be trusted to administer remediation of all sorts!
and i'm still the number-cruncher for the annual reports, which is what i should be doing now. oh, all right, duty bellows...
