A small window of opportunity today on an otherwise dark and rainy day

The iris fields are easily identified pre-bloom because they look a lot like yellowed grass knocked over by the wind. 
The flowers themselves emerge like thick stalks from the rows of "grass". They are very beautiful when they first begin to spit open.
