Firast outing since stupid accident.

Despite miserable weather forecast, Holyhead was dazzling  in the sunlight.  It was also very windy, but  we belatedly achieved the first complete crossing of the new bridge. Unfortunately, I forgot to write down the Celtic/English greeting at the point where the bridge meets the causeway.

We are not happy.
Oo3C has a bruised face, following a minor traffic incident.
The cat has worms.
The Sunday bus timetable has changed, so it's too late (at lunch-time!) to get to the off-licence for a consolatory bottle.

LLandudno had bright sunshine today, so I made a big mistake by going to Bangor, which was dark and wet, but Bangor had the mouse that I wanted, and a book that I wanted, so it was worth the journey.

After last night's rain and wind, there was bright sunshine.
I walked down to Conwy Quay and the water was brilliantly blue.
If I hadn't been wearing windproof jacket and gloves, it might have been a summer day.

What is that weird construction off Puffin Island - three or four huge chimneys?

Hottest July day on record

Forecast up to and over 37 C/100 F - was 100 F in my bedroom when I got home. Must work out a way of sleeping downstairs without sacrificing rockers.
