I just had the strangest encounter. Two lovely old ladies came to the door and spent about 15 minutes telling me not to worry, that the wars and floods and corruption of today would soon be gone and that we'll all live happy, peaceful, prosperus lives and we should keep on hoping for the future ( Read more... ) -
Random stuff
- My tummy hurts. That time of the month :( But I've been cramping for THREE DAYS now! Ever since I started the Pill, my cycles have been really irregular and heavy and PAINFUL! I mentioned it to my GP last time I went for a pill check and he just said "that's not likely to be the cause". Which, i can sorta agree with as that's the opposite of ( Read more... )

Oh dear!
I just asked my trainer to see a patient because he had a funny looking rash, which looked a bit like chicken pox and in adults that can be quiet serious.
The first thing he asked: Do you have a cold?
Turns out he has a viral sore throat with a viral rash.
Nope, I don't feel stupid at all.
*goes back to med school* -
FYI
I have changed my mind about the awesomeness of general practice. Which is, really, a bit of a relief. At least now I don't have to change my entire life plans. -

Every couple of months I decide that I'm going to spend more time on LJ and catch up with my flist etc etc. But between work, and being married (and having a crazy ass extended family) I keep falling behind on that. However, this time I mean it ;)

My internet connection is broken! *cries* Apparently it's something to do with the modem. I'm trying to get it sorted but of course nothing can be done until Monday at the earliest.

Work and Christmas and Work
Thanks to work, I've not really been around at all recently. Not because there's too much of it, mainly just because it sucks all the energy out of me so I can't be bothered to do much of anything when I come home. This is the "OMG! I'm a grown-up now" freakout
My student email account no longer works. (So the people who have it, don't use that one.) I've been working almost for a week now. I've prescribed drugs, helped put in a chest drain, been so busy that I didn't sit down (let alone eat) all day and I'm on a three-day oncall this weekend. John Barrowman is so damn adorable when he calls people "son". Yes, Any Dream Will Do is the ONLY show I've watched in weeks. What? We all have our ways of coping :p
