Let it snow
We have a major snowstorm here and we're supposed to get hurrican winds tonight. Who need Farmville when I live on a real farm? Susan has draft horses, a herd of goats, cows,geese, turkeys, 5 St. Bernards, 3 chihuahuas and two mutts.
I went down to Seaford,LI to see my mother. We had a good 45 minute talk. Them my sister Trudy showed up. It was still pretty good. I think Trudy called Tiara because she called soon after and then the whole thing blew up. Anyhow, I got some quality time with my mother and if she does die soon or lose her mind altogether, I will know that we did have a nice time. I drove back to the farm that same afternoon.
I am putting in for low stress jobs so that I can earn a down payment on a place to live. I retired to get away from stress, so I don't care if I'm a greeter at WalMart, I just want to earn some easy bucks. I'm applying with Kelly services. They want a resume and I'm mentally balking at starting it. My resume copies are in my storage in WA, somewhere, and I'm very picky about my resumes, so it's going to be a big chore. Whine, whine, whine.
I'm down to 158 pounds now. I am eating meat and vegetables, a little fruit, and a snack bag of pistachios a day (my big vice). My numbers at my recent medical check-up were so good the doctor's office called to congratulate me.
One of my good friends husband has been battling cancer. Now it has moved to his spine. I can keep healthy just by eating a restricted diet. I am lucky compared to so many other people.
Good luck to Beverly on getting this latest house. A non-fixer-upper has got to be good. Can't wait to see her in it, maybe this fall.
Theo had put his time and heart into a program for the students. They wouldn't pay him one cent for it, but they hired someone for many thousands of dollars to take it over. Now that's saving the school district money and making one of your best teachers happy. Not. I know he will persevere and become very successful. How dare he be so bright and innovative and not put in 30 years first? Must be hard working for persons of dreckdom.
