I'm back! I've been a little bit busy. Never would have thought working in a bed and breakfast could be so hectic, but it is. Been tired afterwards and just a little bit too lazy to post. Sorry! Anyway, things are going okay on the job front. I don't even think I'll need a second job. Yay! More time to me-self. Didn't have that before, 'course I had crap wages so go figure.
Anyhoo, I suppose the only tragedy that has befallen me is the death of my tv. Dun, dun, dun!!!!!! It's not like I have cable or dish or anything, but I do have one kick ass dvd collection and it has been agony not being able to watch it whenever I felt the need to see something cool. Kind of felt like it did when I was cut off from the internet. Just terrible! Anyway, my dad sent me my birthday present early. I got Stargate SG-1 seasons 9 & 10--and I could not watch them. I haven't even bothered opening up the box. It'll depress me, not being able to watch. I know what you're thinking. If it's a present and not even close to your birthday, then why in the world are you gonna bust them open and watch? Because its a dvd!!! Nothing sucks worse than watching some dvd present on said birthday or holiday only to find out its a dud, a lemon, a busted ass piece of shit and now you have to fight with some online entity to send you one that works and all that jazz, but of course you won't see the supposed replacement for weeks or whatever. I'd rather avoid that if I can and I'll be honest, I have zero patience when my present is right there waiting for me. *snickers* Yay! Presents!!!!!
Okay, so the tv is busted and now I've got one on order. My sis has been making fun of me because I picked out the tv I've been wanting for awhile because it's a slightly bigger screen. Guhhhh! I miss my dad's widescreen tv. Farscape looked awesome on it :] Yes, yes. I'm a freak. Whatever! I just know how I like my movies and tv shows and it's not like a got an uber huge tv. It's one size up from the dinky screen we had before. Still, my Farscape and Stargate's gonna look good on it :)
I have been working on the same chapter since I got back. I think maybe I was just a tad bit depressed to work on it when I was job searching and now, well, the muse isn't elusive or anything, it just seems to want to jump ahead when I haven't technically completed the chapter I'm working on. I'm almost done though. Had to iron out a couple of awkward parts that didn't sound quite right. I'm kind of leery about getting to Bastila. I mean, it's about two chapters away, but I still haven't quite gotten her voice right. That worries me a little, okay a lot. I always worry about getting a character's voice just right, or in my case, close. With Bastila I'm aiming for close, I just can't seem to get into her head. I think maybe I'll have to pay a visit to the kfm forums and check out her thread.
Say, I did catch a flick a day or so ago. Watched the Bourne Ultimatum. AWESOME!!! One of the best trilogies I've ever watched. Ironically, the player character in Kotor is also an amnesiac or blank slate personality. Watching it was a real kick. Great action sequences and fight scenes. I was really surprised at how much bigger Julia Stile's role was this time around. She was kind of a side-note in the first two movies. Don't get me wrong, it's not like she's all over the place, her role this time around carries a bit more weight. I liked it. I really miss Franka Potente. I just hated seeing her die in the second Bourne, but I liked how they wove the third movie around the second. It was a pretty flawless fit. I'm debating on watching The Brave One with Jody Foster tonight. Tomorrow I'm gonna watch Clive Owen's Shoot'em Up with my sis and her bud Jen. I'm thinking that movie is just gonna be fantastic. At least I hope it is. I love Paul Giamatti and Monica Bellucci! XD I can't wait!
Hopefully, I won't take so long with my posts next time. I'm still playing catch up, so forgive me if I suddenly send a flood of comments out. If I like it, I generally comment, even if the post has been up awhile :]
