Tuesday I brought home load #7 of leaves and just before 1 pm today, I brought home load #8, got it unloaded and the rain came shortly thereafter!
Everyone has been so kind about sharing their leaves with me. Quite a few have even come out and helped me load them onto my truck. (Bless their hearts!)
I just can't spread leaves when it's this cold (51F) and rainy.
Today's good news is that one of my leaf suppliers called me to say that he has leaves for me either tomorrow or Friday providing that the weather permits us to get outside and get them. That hopefully will be load #9.
Another man who lives just down the road from him has promised me a nice load of lovely oak leaves on Saturday provided that it doesn't rain. I'm hoping that will be load #10.)
The rain we're getting is coming down steady. This is a good night to stay at home and count blessings.
I'm thankful for all those kind people who gave me their leaves and cheerfully helped me load them.
I concentrated on learning how to thread the serger at the library Tuesday afternoon--by myself. Although I'm sure I will always need the diagram to follow as well as the tweezers, I think I'll be able to thread it for myself from here on. I'm thankful because the technology specialist isn't always available to rethread the beast for me should I need a different color of thread.
I also went to my gout doctor for my 4 month check-up late Tuesday afternoon. That's when I realized that I haven't had a gout flare-up since before JUNE this year. I'm very thankful for that!
I'm thankful now that I thought to go ahead and gas up my truck this afternoon--before the rain arrived. The temperature is dropping and the steady rain has become a good bit heavier in the past 20 minutes.
Hearing this rain coming down on our roof makes me really thankful we got the house re-roofed--complete with new gutters--and that it's already over and done with.
There's one final blessing that I'm most humbly thankful for: As of this morning, I'm now down to the lowest weight that I've been since my early twenties. Qsymia has been a major blessing for me this year and hopefully it will continue to be for at least another six months or so.
This isn't the entire list of course, but these are the ones I'm most aware of at the moment.
Please have a good night everyone!
