Shoppity time!

Shoppity-shoppity time. Went to the mall yesterday with E. Got a 7 dollar shirt at Macy's. Well, it was clearanced down to like 9 dollars and then I had 20% off...so yeah. Good deal. It is a black lace cardigan with attached solid black tank. Nice. Went to JC Penny because I wanted to get more colors of the pair of purple shoes I bought that I've been wearing a ton. They had black and silver but only had silver in my size. Curses at you big feet! I really wanted the black. Checked at Walmart for the knock-off (and 10 dollars less) brand but they didn't have the black in my size. Didn't have the silver or the purple either. These are the shoes: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=10205033 They cannot be purchased online either. Boo-hiss! I am going to be passing at least two Walmarts and 1 JC Penny tomorrow, but don't think I'll get the time to stop because we are going on up to DC for Brazilian Steakhouse food. Yum (hopefully). Then today I went online shopping at Macy's. I bought a skirt (that is black lace with a solid skirt under it--apparently I am on a lace kick here), some jeans, and two sweaters. Because I spent over the minimum, shipping was free. So if anything doesn't fit (especially the jeans because those are really hit-or-miss without trying on), I can return them to the store and not even be out any shipping. Faboo!

Now I need to get a new duvet cover. The one I have is inherited from my grandmother and it has seen better days. It is/was pink but is pretty faded now. Thing is, I don't sleep under the sheets, I sleep on top of the sheets, under just the duvet because otherwise I overheat. Frankly a blanket is enough most of the time. But the duvet sees pretty constant usage becuase I also snuggle under it when reading. And since I read a book a day approximately, that's a lot of usage. Macy's doesn't have anything I like (at least not at a price I am willing to pay) and my mom will probably be paying for it anyway as a birthday prezzie. So these are the two I've found that I like the best.

which is just plain cotton. I like the navy and the green. $40.00

which is a damask stripe and I like the blue and the fern. I don't need the matching pillow covers but hey, they come with it. $60.00

Sears has a navy damask: http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_09666503000P but their price is $70.00
Amazon has a purple damask: http://www.amazon.com/Pinzon-Damask-Stripe-440-Thread-Count-Aubergine/dp/B001E4PXIK/ref=wl_itt_dp?ie=UTF8&coliid=I355IT5V7TM8FE&colid=1F1LQWZSZYHFC for $57.00

I worry about pilling with the damasks. They have some sheen to them and that worries me.

This checkered one is cool: http://www.amazon.com/Blancho-Bedding-Country-Cotton-Duvet/dp/B001N4UVFQ/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1234675559&sr=1-10

Any votes? The room currently has sort of an orangy-red with gold theme (at least that's the color of the drapes and the comforter that doesn't get used. But really, I have no problem with not matching at all. As long as it is comfy and durable. Which I probably can't kno wuntil I guy. Curses!
