Took Schmendrick back to the vet yesterday. The appointment was at 2:30, so I came home from work early, and he already seemed perkier (I hadn't given him any methimazole since Tuesday morning), and it looked like he'd eaten a bit. I did some runework last night, and left the runes I drew out on the coffee table for further contemplation and gestation of thought. This morning as I was in the kitchen packing my lunch, the kitten came in, batting around one of the rune discs and trilling in delight. I picked up the rune she was playing with: Wunjo. Joy. This is so much like Schmendrick, it's almost scary. (Except his current favorite thing is scrabbling frantically and noisily against either the bedroom or closet doors, as they make a fair amount of noise.)
