On the way to work this AM (think 4:30 AM, so full dark still), we saw a fox pass across the road in front of us! It was very cool!

By the grace of sabotabby, I learned about the exciting offerings of St. Johnsbury, Vermont this morning.

They have a Dog Chapel, and a sort of cabinet of curiosities museum containing Bug Art, which is to say art, made entirely of bugs.

I told L we could take the Christmas tree and other decorations down as of February 1, but he forgot, and keeps forgetting, so the tree twinkles a few more nights, and the lights in the window light the way for someone walking past to maybe have a little hope ( Read more... )

Now, I have heard of the Hobo Museum, and my mom has actually been to the Spam Museum to do research for a book, but the National Museum of Funeral History and the Burlingame Museum of PEZ Memorabilia are brand new to me. Road trip, anyone?

Video Pipe Services are a lot less interesting, it turns out, than I imagined they might be when I saw the words emblazoned on a truck this morning. I shouldn't have looked it up.

The other day I got a tiny glimpse of one of the really amazing things I think parents must experience. My elderly dog Felix discovered the joy of walking through knee-deep (on him) crunching leaves.
