Despite the heat, I have to say I had a lot of fun in the Yakima Valley tasting a bunch of wines. I think I really expanded my pallet for reds, which was my goal for the weekend. I opened the wine I got from _franke_ for Christmas. Ah, what a perfect day to open that bottle! It's a german reisling and it's fantastic. It's so crisp, and tart. Very Granny Smith. I think I might have to drink the whole thing in one go at 4 o'clock in the afternoon. Sooo good. I haven't enjoyed a wine this much since the Monchhof. Which, makes sense ( Read more... )
