Sorta like a prayer
Dear Jesus/Allah/Buddah/Yahweh/Zeus,
Please just get me through these next couple weeks without failing out of college and I’ll be eternally grateful. See, I have this HUGE religious studies paper due November 21, and I haven’t really started it. Or done any research. And I’m not really sure what my topic is, per se. I mean, I’ve still got three weeks plus to get this done, but I’m still kinda worried about this. On top of that, I’ve got my film studies paper due this coming Thursday. Yeah, haven’t started that either. At least it’s only got to be five pages (usually that sort of thing only takes me a night), and there I’ve got the topic covered. So I’m not saying that I can’t get this crap done and over with, but I was thinking you could maybe help out. Miracles and divine intervention or whatnot. Failing that, just make sure I have the motivation to keep working on these assignments on a regular basis, rather than waiting to the last minute (like I always do) and making myself miserable.
As the above message has detailed, from now until Thanksgiving break college has thrown down the gauntlet for me, forcing me to actually work my ass off. Strangely though, after break it’s smooth sailing - my religious studies and film classes will only have one grade a piece by then (and with the case of religion, it’s just a small quiz). Also this week I’m working as a production assistant on the student film that I signed up for a little while back. I’ve already been told that I’ll be a camera operator, although my duties might also include everything from getting coffee to just odd jobs around the set. Hey, experience is experience. First day of shooting is this Sunday from noon to midnight, so I’m going to try and work on this film paper Friday and Saturday, possibly taking a break to enjoy the fine Halloween parties PSU will be offering - and of course to see the idiots on my hall dress up as the ninja turtles (I kid you not).
