Bloody Awful
Been a little while since I wrote my last journal entry, but at least for once I can claim a reason other than laziness - I wrote a lot my updates really in the space of just a few days last week so that I would have time to concentrate on other work later, and I’m more or less doing the same thing now. At least I have note-worthy events to talk about (sort of).
My Halloween costume totally sucked. I was planning on going as Billy Idol/Spike from “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” (they have the exact same look, so they’re pretty much interchangeable), and so to that effect I bought some hair dying kit from McLanahan’s that I had hoped would transform my hair to a very bright shade of blonde. Unfortunately, absolutely nothing happened. I don’t think my hair turned even a single shade lighter. After said transformation did not occur, I checked the back of the box and was disappointed to learn that the hair coloring was recommended for “light to medium blondes,” so I might have needed something a little more potent. For those of you out there who were hoping for some pictures of me looking like an ass, you might be pleased to know that they’ll be a costume party later this month that I might try the whole hair coloring thing for again. But in any event, thanks BR and Oky for helping me out this first time, regardless of the results.
I also helped out on the student film for the first time today, although it didn’t go as smoothly as planned. Apparently, the camera was missing a crucial part which prevented us from filming at all. So we pretty much just rehearsed a few of the scenes and then ate a hearty dinner of pizza. Between that and my breakfast at Burger King - which included a Hershey sundae pie and a milkshake - this might be my most innutritious day ever.
