::iz ded::

First full day of back-to-back classes. 10 hours worth. With one hour break between 2 and 3. Starting at 8 this morning, and ending at 6 this evening.

1) I am dead tired and my brain was all "???" for the last class from 3-6
2) My left foot hates me with a passion of a thousand slicing knives at the moment (or one dull butter knife sawing slowly through the tendon in the arch of my foot - whichever metaphor works best)
3) I barely had time to use the bathroom between 8 and 2. In fact, my taking the time to use the bathroom (cause when you gotta go you gotta go) ment that I was a just barely on time for my hydrogeology class (as in I had about 30 seconds to spare)
4) I did *not* have time to eat anything until 2. Yay for granola bars which are designed specifically for stuffing in your face in the shortest amount of time possible, otherwise I probably would've been useless after 12.
5) My head hurts now.

After all that, I have come to the conclusion that 10 hours of almost back-to-back classes is just way too much. So, Geomorphology, you're out. I'm hoping that my Sedimentary Geology class will make up for it so I can still graduate next May (because of the last minute schedule and teacher change, it *will* qualify for the Geography majors - I can only assume Rice will allow it for the Geoscience majors as well). Plan right now is that I'll graduate in May, but I'll come back in Fall 09 for Geomorphology cause I really want to take it and I think it will be very beneficial to any career I choose over all.

It will bring me down to 13 credits, and it might mean another semester, but at this point I think it would probably be the best unless I want to be even deader than usual at the end of the semester. Especially considering a very good point that my friend Carolyn brought up when I told her - "That means you'll have all of your tests on the same day, too!", which I previously hadn't considered.

All Homework Due Wednesdays + All Labs happening on Wednesdays + All tests likely scheduled for Wednesdays = ZOMIGOD, TOO MUCH FOR WEDNESDAYS!

In other news, our Soils and Water lab today was lots of fun. A few of us got to put on waders and play in the river. My pair of waders had a hole or something in them, which meant I got kind of wet feet. Not too bad, though, and YAY playing in the river!

Also, new Bones and Ghost Hunters tonight! YAY!

ow, geomorphology, classes, brain broken, tendonitis, bones, intro to soils and water, ghost hunters, uwsp
