::sighs::
So much for going to the grocery store in hopes of saving money on lunch. A new Pick and Save just opened up across the street from City Hall, and the grocery store I *had* been going to closed. At the old grocery store, I could have gotten a sandwich/salad, a drink, and a bag of chips for less then 4 bucks. At the new grocery store? I got a salad, a sandwich, and a drink and it cost $5.32 - the same as my preferred meal at Arby's or Subway would cost. I miss Copps. ::pouts::
The salad was good, though. Even if it did cost 50 cents more then one that's twice as big here at the UW (which I can never eat because they're so big anyways. Besides, the grocery store had more choices to pick from). A sandwich cost twice as much as one the same size did at Copps, though, so that kinda sucked. And I have yet to figure out where they keep the little snack bags of chips at that new place.
Food issues aside, I saw a bald eagle sitting right next to the road on the way into town this morning. Was very cool. I also saw another large raptor of some kinda a little ways further down the road from where I saw the eagle. Now, see, this may not seem like such a big deal to some people, but I've always had a real appreciation for large raptor birds of any kind, so it always makes me go to my happy place when I see them. :D
