Anyone remember that Robin Hood movie from the spring staring Russell Crowe? I watched it tonight. It was okay*, but what struck me the most was that it's nothing like the Robin Hood story. I can understand why it won the Razzie this year for Worst Picture. I'm really wondering right now how it was even allowed to be made in the first place. It has a horrible plot, it rips off other movies, it's offensive and it has inaccurate information in it.

I liked all the Canadian references. For some stupid reason I was expecting them to change it so that Wolverine was now American (it wouldn't surprise me if FOX wanted that though). It was really good. I haven't read the comic yet (I keep on meaning to borrow it from my brother but then I forget), so I can't compare it but I thought the movie itself was really enjoyable and that you don't need to read the comic to be able to follow the story (although there was the odd thing that made me wonder what was going on ( Read more... )

The Oscars are quickly approaching. This year I saw three of the five films nominated for best picture.
