It was on his way up the stairs - some days, he just felt the need to be a little more active than standing around in the elevator - that Sakuya stopped when he got to the fourth floor. Marisa had said he could drop in, right? Maybe he should call her first though. Only he didn't have her cellphone number. The intranet? He'd have to go up to his laptop first...

It was only after standing in the stairwell for a good five minutes considering his options that he realized Marisa and her lack of formalities would find it stranger for him to call beforehand than not to.

Still, it's not like he had any reason to stop by her room. But... he wanted to. Would he just be a bother? In the end, he put trust in her to tell him if she was busy like she said she would and stepped out into the hallway.

A few seconds later and he was peering in through the open door. Well, if that wasn't an invitation... still, he stopped in the doorway and knocked, one of his practiced perfect smiles on his face.

"Would you mind a guest, Lady Kirisame?"

Marisa was kicking her feet idly in the air as she reclined on her stomach, turning a page, when she heard the knock and the voice. Her soft singing cut off and she looked up, showing she had those glasses on again. Which meant she immediately took them off and smiled.

"Heya Sakua. Come on in," she said, setting the glasses on the kotatsu and then started searching around for her bookmark. It had fallen on the floor.

And there it was again, the hiding of the glasses. Part of him wanted to see if he could make a game of trying to catch her with them on.

"Thank you," he said, setting down his bag by the door and stepping inside. A few quick strides and he made it over by her, gracefully picking up the bookmark from where it had fallen out of the girl's immediate line of sight. Bent at the waist, he offered it to her with a smile. "Looking for this?"

Now where was her bookmark. Marisa could've sworn it was right on the arm of the--

"Oh! Yeah," she said with a smile, taking the bookmark and putting it in place. "Thanks, ze." Sitting up, she smoothed her skirt and checked real quick to make sure all the buttons of her shirt were still buttoned save for the top two.

"Wanna sit?"

"You're welcome," he replied, straightening up. He hadn't really even noticed her shirt until she glanced down, at which point he felt the need to button up those last two. But of course, it was hardly his place to be correcting someone else's manner of dress, so he pushed it from his mind.

"Oh, sure," Sakuya replied, taking a seat by the witch, though not quite scooting under the kotatsu for the moment. Which he couldn't help but notice was crooked relative to the other furniture and the walls. "I hope I wasn't interrupting anything."

Sakuya would eventually learn that when it came to her uniform, Marisa rarely ever wore it properly. Now catch her out of her uniform on weekends and it was a different story with her Gothic Lolita style of dress.

She noticed the way he moved close to the kotatsu. "Oh, sorry it's cold in here, ze. Feel free to use the kotatsu if you want. And you didn't interrupt anything. Just reading some brain candy and debating on whether today was fired or not."

A grin. "Though with you stopping by, I think today's been saved."

"Ah, it's fine. It's not too cold... though I make take you up on that offer anyway," he said with a bit of a smile. He quirked an eyebrow though at her explanation of what she'd been up to.

"Oh? And I haven't even done anything yet," he said, though a quick glance around pointed out a number of things he could be doing.

"Yes you have; you came by," Marisa replied. Sakuya also improved the view but she wasn't going to say that out loud.

"Anyways, welcome to my room, ze." And all it's electronics - big television, lots of dvds and blu-rays, gaming system and... the lights and music coming from her room where her computer command center was located.

"If you say so," he accepted graciously, knowing that just the presence of a friendly face could improve one's outlook. At least he assumed that was what she meant.

Taking a look around, he was amazed in several definitions of the word, both by how many electronic devices there were and the sheer disarray they managed to be in. It was... actually a bit obnoxious.

"I see you're as formal with your housekeeping as you are with your conversation, Lady Kirisame," he noted wryly. "Shall I lend you a hand?"

Marisa blinked. "It's clean, ze." Compare to how it normally was. Except the kitchenette. That was pretty bad, but they weren't in there!

"Well, clean enough. 'Sides, it'd be weird to have you picking me and Floe's stuff up when you're a guest."

He quirked an eyebrow at her assessment, clearly disagreeing.

"I'm a butler - well, butler-in-training - cleaning's second nature to me," he assured her as he got to his feet. "If it makes you feel better, I promise to stay out of the bedroom and bathroom." Because, being still "in training", poking around in those territories relegated to the female beings, even for the sake of cleaning, was something still off-limits for him. "And I'm not about to go doing a full-scale cleaning, just... straightening a few things up."

Which is exactly what he went to work on, starting with straightening out the kotatsu and then picking up the various books and electronics strewn about it, stacking them neatly on top.

Marisa literally just stared at Sakuya as he started straightening things up. She had absolutely no idea how to react to him just doing this. Okay, she got the whole butler-in-training thing, but this was a bit... much.

"W-why?"

"It'll look nicer and I'm sure you'll feel better with a clean room, Lady Kirisame," he told her quite sincerely as he started untangling the cords on the various things hooked to the TV, keeping meticulous track of what went where and being sure not to pull anything or plug them back in wrong.

Good thing the music was coming from her desktop in her room and not the entertainment center because then Sakuya didn't have to worry about shutting things off. And whereas there might have been merit to his reasoning...

"Uh. You know, Floe and I can do that, ze. Sometimes controlled chaos is good."

He paused halfway through stacking books on a shelf, ordering everything nicely.

"Are you sure? It's really no trouble," Sakuya told her. That and, well. It made his hands itch to see this kind of disorder and not do something about it.

"Well, it's just kinda... weird. You know?" Marisa fidgeted a bit. "You coming up to hang out and then deciding to clean my room..."
