Natural disasters, though tragic, are unavoidable. In my eyes the suffering that mankind inflicts on itself is what's hard to take. Not that I'm a generally negative sort of person, but the longer I live in this world, the harder I find it to put any faith in men.

People are so willing (even happy) to harm each other in order to satisfy their needs and their egos and their delusions: 'My desires are more valid than yours. My way of life is better than yours. My thoughts are superior to yours.'

Yes, sometimes it hits me, too.

The past week or so has been insane. My roommate lost 2 friends in the Bombay blasts, yet we spend more time talking about Isreal/Lebanon, the Tsunami and how the world in general just needs to take a break and breath.
