Fall 2008 Blog!
Well, I forgot to blog after my last wrestling show, so here we go....
Working full-time still at GMAC Mortgage....my job isn't the greatest with the way the housing economy is but at least I'm thankful to have my job as other banks and mortgage companies have closed.
The last show I referred for was for Impact Pro Wrestling in Whittemore, Iowa about 2 weeks ago for the Whittemore Oktoberfest. Here is what went down...

Ring Announcer: Matty Starr
Referee: Senior IPW Referee Billy J.
Johny Fitness greeted the Whittemore town. Shawn Roman and T.S. Aggressor came down to interrupt. Fitness introduced Mitch Paradise. A match was set for later on that night, Shawn Roman vs. Mitch Paradise.
1) Supa Cito Kid defeated Justin Decent (w/Suzie) with a Code Red.
2) The Punk Rock Icon Tony Sly defeated Devin Carter.
3) Flav/Marshall Scott/Wicked Lester Brody defeated Ian Wellington/James Jeffries/Havyk in a 6-man tag team match.
4) IPW Championship Match: IPW Champion Montoya X defeated Latin Thunder with a frog splash. Billy J. was knocked down for a short while towards the end of the match but recovered.
Intermission - 20 min.
A major announcement was announced for the Impact Pro Wrestling show at the 2009 Whittemore Oktoberfest. The Legend, Harley Race will be at the show!
5) Shawn Roman (w/T.S. Aggressor) defeated Mitch Paradise with his finishing move, a version of the RKO.
6) Whittemore Lumberjack match between A.J. Smooth and Kenny Backwash. The Whittemore posse, led by Whittemore's own Tom Ricke, came down to the ring. A.J. Smooth came out followed by his lumberjacks. Kenny Backwash then entered. The end of the match came when Backwash pinned A.J. Smooth. Backwash suffered an elbow injury towards the end of the match.
All in all, another great show for the annual Whittemore Oktoberfest. Good to see Matty Starr back in an IPW ring as well as Devin Carter, Kenny Backwash and Mitch Paradise.
Hopefully Kenny Backwash will recover soon from his injury.
For 2008, I've refereed 79 matches on 16 shows. A few more shows to referee before 2008 comes to a close.
2008 has gone by so fast....the highlight so far has been my trip to Hawaii in March 2008. Hopefully I'll have the opportunity to visit somewhere else in 2009. Visiting Hawaii again would be good too! I eventually want to move there, but I'll probably have to win the lottery or at least get a 6-figure salaried job or BOTH! :-)
My next show scheduled is for MXWA in Muscatine, Iowa on Saturday, October 25, 2008. Hopefully there will be a bigger ring this time since the last one just 14'. It made things interesting, that's for sure.
Not sure what I'm going to dress up as for Halloween....throw me some suggestions...
