Post MXWA Show and Upcoming Shows!!!
It's been almost a month since my last blog so let's get this party started!
I've been working full-time at GMAC Mortgage. GMAC Mortgage just let go 5,000 people recently but my job is safe. Hopefully the housing market will turn around soon.
It's been a month since I refereed last but I refereed the entire MXWA show last night in Muscatine, Iowa. Here is what happened:
MXWA: Aftershock
Saturday, 9/20/2008
Muscatine, Iowa
1) Arch Angel 1 defeated Arch Angel 2 after the match Chief and Pride hit the ring and laid out both Angels.
2) White Thunder vs. Mike Glory vs. Destroyer was a great match!! Mike Glory picked up the victory after pinning Destroyer.
3) Freak defeated The Bodyguard in a grudge match!
INTERMISSION- MXWA Wrestlers signed and sold lots of pics and dvds!
4) Ian Wellington defeated The Big Picture in there rematch from Summer Heat and after the match Knight Wagner hit the ring attacked Beef and informed MXWA fans that he was making an impact on MXWA and it starts TONIGHT!!!
5) Mick Wiqied defeated Mike Pride to become the new MXWA Champion. This match was intense both men were a bloody mess afterwards and after the match Pride extended his hand in respect to Wiqied and out came Bodyguard to say goodbye to his friend Mike Pride who was wrestling his last match in MXWA tonight. All 3 are the founders of MXWA and the crowd was hot for this match.
6) The Chief defeated Latin Thunder Juan Forneau in a great Mexican Streetfight! This was Juan's MXWA debut!
Not the biggest crowd, but the crowd was into the entire show! I ended up driving back to Cedar Rapids and stayed the night. Just back into Waterloo this evening. Back to my full-time job on Monday morning.
I've refereed 73 matches on 15 shows in 2008 so far...more to come.
I'll be refereeing next for Impact Pro Wrestling at Whittemore, Iowa's Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 4th! A good crowd has come to this annual show and should be nothing different. I can't wait.
Nothing new from WWE or TNA!
