Hey, guess what?
It turns out, we're NOT moving today, after all!
I know, right?
See, it's like this:
- Party A - my family
- Party B - the people who want to buy our house
- Party C - the lady whose house we want to move into
- Party D - the people who want to buy a house from Party B
So, contracts have been signed between Party A and Party B, and Party A and Party C. A contract has been signed between Party B and Party D. However, Party D's bank has not approved their mortgage or some other such nonsense, so Party D cannot actually, at this moment in time, buy the house from Party B. Which means that Party B cannot buy the house from Party A, who in turn cannot finish paying for the house where Party C currently resides. Party A ran into Party C at church this past Sunday, and had to make awkward small talk about 'the moving process' and how things are 'progressing' for almost 20 minutes. The moving company finally came by Party A's house, and said it would take at least eight hours to move everything from one locale to another, even though Party A and Party C live less than 15 minutes apart. Party D has been remarkably silent and unhelpful throughout the entire proceedings, especially since Party D is causing the holdup in the first place. As it is, now Party A, Party B, and Party C are hovering in the unknown grey area of WHO KNOWS WHEN WE'RE ACTUALLY GONNA MOVE, DAMNIT, I'M RUNNING OUT OF CLEAN AND UNPACKED CLOTHING.
On the other hand, hey - at least I still have internet access, right? Which means I can post my Grand Finale of Amplificathon project later tonight...
