The puppy journey is over. Well, the one-on-one part for me is over, and now I get to take the back-seat-Grandma-cheering part, and revel in what awesome dog people I get to call family, think about what I would do different, and pray that some contacts I made during this go round stick with me for the next round. Amazing how fate just makes wonderful things happen. I got some amazing homes wanting Lucy, but in the end, it was just meant to be with someone who I *wished* with each of Yankee's litters to put a puppy into. This would not have happened had Lucy been available any earlier. Great things just have a way of working themselves out. So amazing I get ( Read more... )

We have quite the arrangement of dogs here, meaning quite the arrangement of pasture runs. Thankfully I still get it down to 2 runs, but it still takes coordination and thoughtfulness. We love having Dragon come stay here, but now that he has reached full manhood, my boys and him get a little huffy and puffy chested, so we just have never allowed ( Read more... )

We drove a long ways, with many stops. Puppies were grand super starz and only poo'd in crates when I got lost or had to take a nap, ironically both times in a Safeway parking lot. Big dogs were fantastic once we realized everyone needed their own space and Peach realized having zoomy laps in the bank parking lot made momma frantic. Puppy buyers ( Read more... )

My aunt and my momma helped me take puppies to the pasture (which is NOT possible by yourself!). Yankee got to play with the chuckit and she ran the puppies to sleepiness and I took photos. The puppies turn 7 weeks old tomorrow, my does time fly. They are fabulous, which was evidenced by their first trip outside and to the pasture. I beamed on as every.single.puppy had confidence and shined, and thought this was the most wonderful thing in the world.
