Recs - SV and SPN
I need a multifandom icon I think. *Gets on that* So there have been some real gems in both fandoms of late in fics and vids and I feel compelled to recommend them.

secretlytodream (Loki) a dramatic SPN vid called For You I'll Stay Alive and it's just beautifully done and a look at Dean's POV for Sam. The music is haunting and captivating and the editing and scene selection is superb.
and proofpudding (Melissa) made this one for Sweet Charity and it is also a dramatic vid called On My Knees I'll Think Clearer. Song choice is just perfect and I just love how Melissa moves the characters' story along. Well worth the download time.
and deirdre_c - This vid is called Supernatural: In My Pants and it is the cleverest crackiest funniest Spn vid I have watched in a while. The lyrics!! OMG The lyrics and the boy's faces? There will be TEARS of laughter I swear. It's like the song was written for the show that's how well this fits together with some very smooth editing and scene selection to die for.

mediaville a J2 fic that is absolutely chocked full of very funny moments that make you laugh out loud whilst grinning stupidly at how adorable the boys are together. And it is different too, an excellent original idea. It's called Win-Win Situation, has the added bonus of also being extremely HAWT and make sure you leave feedback because more mediaville J2 fic is good for the soul.
leonidaslion recently posted a Sam/Dean fic that pretty much melted my monitor. It's called Hush and it reminded me exactly how much the risk taking factor is a huge kink of mine. Also a toppy Sam is a happy Sam. Yeah bottom Sam is just as happy but in this fic - Sam is top AND happy.
thenyxie has been posting some extremely hot drabbles as well at her LJ as Christmas gifts for friends and another installment in the Like Staring Into The Sun Verse that just keeps me hitting refresh incessantly on my f-list with the hope that there will be even more. I am definitely addicted to her writing.
ETA: Oh good grief. I have just seen a post saying that up for auction on ebay is the opportunity for five fans to have a PRIVATE lunch with Jared Padalecki at the Cherry Hill, NJ convention. Be afraid Jared, be VERY afraid. I wonder if there is cap on how high the auction will go. As in is there a figure where Jared just goes "Hmmm...500K to have lunch with me? Oh yes. I am soooo worth that. Perhaps I'll even throw in some nudity." ....
