B found a small box of old photos this weekend. In the box was also I letter I wrote to her in July of 1979. In it I mention our then current pets. Cameron, Swayzie (cats), Chris & Tuffy (dogs). Today really is Tuesday.
On the accident front, after my horrible experience at the tow-yard yesterday, I decided that it wasn't worth the mental anguish for either my brother or I, to try to extract my HD radio from the car while it is there. We took Shaolin in on Monday. She was ready to go. Always a morbidly obese cat, she was nearly emaciated. Her tumor had burst (yuck!) but, surprisingly, the vet thinks it was the thyroid cancer that actually did her in.

We looked into doing a euthanasia at home, but the services are horrendously expensive (start at $200 for the most basic service) ( Read more... )

M spent the morning from 6:45 until 1pm moving in to her new work digs. I dropped her off, came home, went back with the cleaning supplies she forgot and a roll of TP because there was none at the new place yet. As you may or may not remember, we inherited 2 geriatric cats in January, Frisky John and Angel. So that we suddenly had FIVE cats, four of them geriatrics, 3 over the age of 15. We've inherited the cats, did I say that before? We haven't seen the Will yet, but those were the first words out of Pat's cousin's mouth when he called Mom. We brought Frisky John home on Wednesday night. When we got to Pat's house 3 of her cousins were already going through the house to remove all the valuables (cash, jewelry, electronics).
