...the bridge -- i've been watching it a lot lately. not to worry. i live vicariously thru this movie...it helps me to not do the real thing.

home most of the day yesterday with teh sick -- first amanda, then me, then heather, all with the stomach flu(?). what else to do except read, play on computers and watch TV? as you know, most TV is crap, but there are some gems being broadcast, if you pay close attention.

the evaporation ponds have at least a six-inch crust on them right now, with the very top layer a dirty brown. the cracks in the crust reveal the snowy whiteness of the salt underneath. i swear it looks as though you can walk across, crunching into the salty goodness, never breaking through to the sea water below ( Read more... )
