This is Never Good

I've got one of those headaches that is just too stubborn to go away. Right now, I'm nursing a small headache that's a leftover from the migraine I had late last night, one that made me rather sick. It's very unusual for me to have any headache left over from a migraine after I've slept, even after a few hours, so I'm wondering why this headache is so determined to torment me. It's not that bad right now, I just worry. Headaches have a tendency to get worse over time for me and ones that are either leftovers from a previous one or start right when I wake up are not very auspicious. Sigh.

So, for today, I have plans of taking it easy and doing my best to stay away from my computer. I also need to call a few people so that I may put them on references list for the interview I have in...50 hours (!!!). I have high hopes of actually finishing my book today and moving onto this other book I've already started reading. It's Adrian Goldsworthy's The Fall of Carthage which is about the Punic Wars between Carthage and Rome between 264 and 146 BC and the subsequent fall of Carthage. It's an important part of Ancient Roman history that is rather lacking in my education and even if I don't agree with the sentiment that this is the most important era in Republican Rome, I no doubt should know more about it than I presently do. In just the introduction, I'm hooked by his writing style and I believe this read will go by fast.

Now I should probably log off and get myself dressed and showered, but not in that order. Time to start my day.
