Well Ren Faire is nearly here and getting ready for all the traveling for it. We still need to get some SD cards for camera luckily Microcenter is still running their sale for 60 ns 1 gb SD cards for 15.99 - a steal of a price. So I think we will get two sometime this weekend. Taking Gina down to see her mother on Sunday afternoon - so prolly run into KC tonight or Saturday.
Weather here has really turned into Fall - cool, rainy - actually matching the season which is a bit of a shock. Have to get the fireplace ready for some use.
Made a low carb pumpkin-pecan cheesecake last night - it was gonna be desert for party - but oh well (Rob, Dude get better soon) It was still very tasty :)
With Gina not feeling well we haven't swum or exercised much - I think even I have been a bit under the weather - a little listless and all.
Ren Faire is snapping me out of that - Got to get stuff taken care of and planned. Not much time left before I head down to pick up Gina, do the set up of the site, pub crawl, then Saturday, Sunday and then the take down. Hopefully this time we will be able to do the take down Monday morning not trying to rush it in Sunday night.
Haven't felt much like gaming (computer gaming) Battlefield 2142 has ended the Beta for the moment - building their new client for it. CoH / CoV has some really nice things coming int he next patch - but that won't be until October / November.
Starcraft - finally getting a feel for the zerg tactics - taken awhile but coming along. For Talk Like a Pirate Day - I played some Sid Meyers "Pirates" - it seems apropos.
Work has kept me *very busy* most of the week not any slack time till now.
Getting more comfortable with Linux all the time - doing things automatically without having to think about it. - Like using sudo when needed.
Car has started reliably since the new starter was install - talked to an automobile inclined friend and asked about the cost of the starter. Apparently sometime in the early 90's starter changed from what I remember (BIG heavy cylinders about the size of a 2 liter bottle and weighing 30+ pounds) to little things about the size and weight of a can of soda. The change came about because of clever types found a way to re-gear things to be much smaller and lighter - but much more expensive for the part.
I'll need to do some more work on the car before it is really ready for the long drives - fix a washer arm, a light and rainx the windshields - even *gasp* clean it out and wax it a bit.
Also -next week- get together garb and other fest stuff - LOL prepare for another round of being "Tent Daddy" for the court.
