Lets see the last fews days -
Friday Night: Found out that my doctor only proscribed an initial 1 month prescription for my beyatta. I know he was concerned about the insurance covering it but whats the point? one month or a year? If they cover it they cover it and if not then hell I can't afford to buy it. (Something like $500 a month w/o insurance) So I will pick it up later today after being off it for a few days. Not good but unavoidable.
Saturday we went into KC - had to get a 2 gb SD card for camera. Seems like we got caught in a little bait-and-switch as they were all out of the 15.99 1 Gb SD cards but had these other for $24 (AFTER $20 rebate) I don't know about you guys but I *hate* rebates. Either its on sale or it isn't. Studies have proved that rebates are a sales gimmick and that most of the time a rebate is of much less value to the customer than a regular (if less reduced sale). The 2 Gb SD card for $60 was the best buy in the store but still twice what I wanted to pay. Grrrrrr.
Sunday took Gina down to Wichita and Ark City. Meet our friends Chris and Allen in Wichita for a quick supper - mmmmmmm roasted beef over tortellini and chicken scampi delicious - I was good and held myself to only 2 bread sticks plus a few slices of cracker bread for the fonduta. Then on to Arkansas City. Got in, talked for a bit. Gina's mother Anita gave me a Mixer for a birthday present (Thanks Anita) and then basically turned in - driving may not be physically active but it is tiring all the same.
Monday - Got up, worked on anita's computer a bit, had lunch and then drove back to Lawrence in one shot - about a 4 hour-and-a-bit drive. Roads were pretty good and the cats were happy to see me. After dragging myself and luggage into the house I called Gina to let her know I made it home alright and then just flopped down and veg'd in front of the TV, before going to bed. Luckily we had stuff in the fridge so that I could just snack and have supper from that.
Today - having a birthday pig-out at work. Brought a meat-n-cheese try in for it. Showing great self control by not simply eating a pan of brownies myself - they look delicious. Holidays I suspect are going to be a trial to me. There is no way, no matter what you do that can make a salad look / taste like a chocolate covered pretzel or cookie or gum drop peppernut.
Tonight - Movie night with Robert and Sondra, maybe talk a bit about Cyberpunk 2020. Laundry - haul 2nd cat box out of storage - give the little critters a extra choice while we are gone. Dishes and maybe squeeze in a little time with City of Heroes before the next patch. GRIN - looking forward to having the new costume options become available.
Tomorrow - I turn 41. Somehow when I was younger I could never imagine living to be this old and now I am here. The future has turned out to be somewhat less impressive than I though it would be.
