Life moves on

Been a bit since I put in an entry and I do want to try and keep up with this, so.... Lets see.

Downloaded a beta for Battlefield 2142. I need about the series but hadn't been really darwn to it. The beta has some really cool points to it - including built in VOIP for squads. Sweet graphics and some unique near-future stuff. The problem is the client crashes on me anywhere from 30 seconds to 3 minutes. Never any error given - just boom dropped. I think it is the sound card support so far - I guess wait for updates and see.

Playing a bit of DDO again - having fun wiht the solo stuff. It very nice NOT to have to wait for a pick-up group to form (PuG) that needs what you do. Playing around with some ideas for race-class combos. I have been pleasently surprised by Turbine being able to keep adding month content. While I really like the dungoens - I wish there were more of them and that the trap / encounter placement was a bit more random. I've seen too many groups that simply "KNOW" the dungoen and run through it at full tilt. I prefer more tactical play - optimize encounters for maximum survivablity and role-play then leet-full bore-DPS (Damage per second) play.

Played a little City of Heroes over the weekend - getting my seond oldest character a fire / fire tank up to level 44 (6 more levels to go to max him out) He gets a new power at 44 and having trouble deciding what I really want him to get. Nothing he can get will really make a huge differance - so it trying to see what will make the most impact.

Blood sugar levels still higher than I would like but being more aware of what I am eating and how much and when. Trying to break the habit of eat because it is this time not because you are hungry and eat because I am bored.

So now having to find new things to fill time - espeically now that work is finally slowing down a touch. Time for new projects or pick up some old projects for myself.

Since Gina and I didnt get into KC over thw weekend we are gonna go in Wednesday night. Pick up some exercise clothes and stuff for Gina.

Reading more on Slow Burn exercise plan - hit has some very interesting ideas on exercise and weight loss. I am gonna try out the plan and see how it goes. Do swimming maybe twice a week and a full weight-lifting work out once a week (Thats the plan anyhow)

Need to get busy and finish wireless workstation for the kitchen and MOW THE LAWN. With all the rain the grass has been growing like the weeds they really are - arg.

But for now - back to the grindstone.
