the aging couple i lived with a few summers ago in lyon nicknamed their daughter-in-law "Dauphine", which means either "dolphin" or "wife of the heir apparent to the throne", depending on context

one of the guys i was with in new orleans kept calling dauphine street "dolphin" street. he did it because he's stupid, not because he knew it means that. i'll have to tell him of his accidental translation :p
