the fallacy of human beings as seperate organisms

its those you love that hurt you the most.

i went to my first red sox game yesterday, watched josh beckett pitch a shutout through 8 2/3, then with 2 strikes and 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th, the o's score 2...it wouldve been sweet, my favorite pitcher throwing a complete game shutout, but it was still pretty fucking sweet period. the wonderful kale showed me the pleasure of going to games, and seeing my own boys was kinda surreal.

and today, i havent disliked the sox more since the 5 game massacre last year. schilling left the mound up 3-1, then tejada, arguably the best oriole hitter, hits a 2 run shot to tie off eric gagne, someone i was made to believe was lights out, someone who got his shit hit all over the place by the not so heavy oriole bats on friday, comes in and gives it up again....i dont blame that snyder guy for giving up the walkoff 3 run as much as i do gagne for letting the o's--a team with no real chance at playoffs--back in it (to win it) TWICE this weekend....he's clearly on steinbrenner's payroll.

after that friday game though, my cupcakalicious friend, as well as my other new jew friends helped me forget about baseball woes at a pretty kick ass party. but still, there's nothing like a kick ass party, pretty new friends, and a 5th of jack to put a major blow to the self esteem of this loner. ah well, still good friggin times though in a town i thought would offer me none.

more good times included the rage concert two weeks ago. they ended their set with zach de la roca yelling "IT'S NOT WHAT YOU REAP, IT'S WHAT YOU FUCKING SOW!" then dropping the mic. i love that guy. thats why i still write in this thing. maybe i can sow something positive. maybe years down the line ill be the kind of person some kid could look up to, then she'll stumble upon my old journal and be like "no shit, even benton was insecure as fuck, insane in the membrane, generally off..." and then she'll go on to be the first GOOD woman president ever, all thanx to my egomaniacal journal.

the presidential race is all a game. voldemort is in charge of the ministry, but no one realizes it. and those who do see it don't want to believe it, so they throw their hopes and dreams behind barack obama, but he's a part of the game too. ("did anyone really expect to win a race already fixed? the spoils doled out in advance, the appointed already picked with all allegations of fraud categorically dismissed as absurd). but its not hopeless, everyone just needs to realize the power within them. time after time we hear about a single person bringing down an empire, but we never allow that person to be us. that's the biggest shame to me...i know such brilliant and powerful people, but living in a state of impotence. wake up people!

Harry, wherever you are, we support you!
