As of Feb. 26, I finally had the chance to go skiing again. I visited a place called the Arizona Snowbowl is Flagstaff. I started out with a lesson from one of the ski instructors at the bottom part of the ski slope, and then I took the lift up to the top. It got harder once I was skiing down the whole ski slope, but after a few tries I was once again getting the hang of it.
The next weekend (Mar. 4), I visited the Lake Powell/Glen Canyon Dam area. It's known as a good boating lake, but I just enjoyed the view from the nearby trails. The visitor's center had an interesting exhibit. It showed a Therizinosaur fossil that was found nearby. Nobody is quite sure why a land-dwelling dinosaur was found at an area that was an inland sea 90 million years ago.
As for my next trip... maybe I'll visit the Lowell Observatory. The brochure I have reads "Since 1894 Lowell Observatory has been at the forefront of astronomical research." Sounds like one of the best places to learn about space without flying up into it.
