Freezing Meals

My work schedule is really crazy sometimes, so preparing meals ahead of time is really important for my sanity. Since I really like to cook and try new things, there would be weeks when I would be eating the same thing everyday - one of the downfalls to living by yourself. A friend overhead me saying something about eating the same thing every day, and she asked why I didn't just freeze things. I guess this never crossed my mind.
This friend ended up giving me some coupons for Ziplock products, and I went out and bought some of these:

They are so amazing! I love that they twist on rather than snap on. They are the perfect one-portion-size for those meals that can get all mixed together. Some meals I prefer to be side by side rather than on top of each other, so I bought some of these:

Though I bought them at the local grocery store, I was surprised that I couldn't find then on the Rubbermaid website. While looking around on the Rubbermaid website, I did see that they had rectangle containers that would probably be better, because they had a separator. They do snap on, but I found that they snap on strong, so I feel okay putting them in the freezer.

So far, I have frozen Gram's Mac & Cheese, Asian Beef & Broccoli, Spaghetti Sauce and Hamburger Pie (both recipes coming soon). It makes it so easy to just grab one out of the freezer, throw it in a lunchbag and go.
