Watched these this afternoon so I'm all caught up. Ashes to Ashes first...
So I'm pretty excited for the finale. Not surprising it's a two-parter, with all this to wrap up. I really want it to be good...
And on to Doctor Who. Mainly just a very boring list of things I loved.
Now, to see if I can fix my computer. Can't keep on nicking my sister's laptop.
- Sam's back, possibly. I'm not sure what to make of him. Is he telling the truth? Or has someone (Keats?) been feeding him information to cause trouble? Could be interesting...
- Poor Viv. Didn't really know much about him cos I've only watched on and off until now, but he was really good in this episode.
- Shaz, Chris and Ray playing pass the parcel in a field with the tin box? What the hell's that about?
- "Can I have your mug? Cos mine's knackered." That was quite sweet really.
- Keats is evil. I was totally creeped out when he started whistling "I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles". And what did he do to Viv? It was like he sucked the life out of him! (Also, what was going on when he was playing cards? I think I'll have to watch it back cos that seemed weird.)
- So Gene has a photo of Dead Cop in a tin. Either he is Dead Cop or he knows him, maybe a friend or relative. And a roll of film. Surely next week we'll find out what's on it?

- Rory! I love him a lot! I loved him in The Eleventh Hour so it was great to see him back. I expect I'll mention him repeatedly in this post.
- I spent the whole episode trying to work out where I'd seen Guido before. Turns out it was in The No 1 Ladies' Detective Agency. Not really got anything to do with this, but still.
- The stag night. The ridiculous t-shirts, the Doctor jumping out of the cake (apparently not for the first time!), his concern for the stripper, stupidly telling everyone that Amy's a good kisser. Oh, it was good!
- Rory's totally unfazed by the TARDIS! And the Doctor seems quite annoyed. You'd think he'd be pleased to get a different reaction but no, he wants "bigger on the inside". Typical.
- "How are you doing that? I... am... loving it. You're like Houdini, only five slightly scary girls, only he was shorter. Will be shorter. I'm rambling." ... "Tell me the whole plan. One day that'll work." ... "Oh, this is Christmas!" I thought Matt Smith was brilliant in this scene and even though I'd already seen it, I still got stupidly excited about his William Hartnell library card. (Although, the first time I saw it was on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross and I was watching with a bunch of relatives, all non-Doctor Who fans. I had to stop myself from squealing with delight cos they would have thought I'd gone mental. So this is the first time I've been able to enjoy it.)
- "Daughter?! You look about nine!" Oh, easily amused.
- "I'm a gondola... driver." And I laughed at that too.
- The Doctor and Rory are so good together! I've missed having a male companion around.
- "An answer for an answer." Matt was great here again and Helen McCrory is brilliant.
- Rory's fight. His cross-making failure, his rubbish insults and did I imagine it or was he making lightsaber noises when he was swinging that broom? I love him even more.
- "Hey, look at this. Got my spaceship, got my boys. My work here is done." / "We are not her boys." / "Yeah, we are." / "Yeah, we are." I love them all!
- A lot of talk of cracks and silence. Presumably that's gonna be important. But back to the squeeing...
- Pretty much loved the whole thing! That's really all I have to say. Did I mention I love Rory?
